Through the main topic \u201cwhat is the future made of?\u201d the event aimed to reflect on the importance of past and present in shaping the future and, therefore, of our own responsibility in its design. Jose Costa\u2019s talk, entitled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tedxgalicia.com\/2016\/09\/05\/guerras-invisibles-ao-descuberto-jose-manuel-costa\/\">\u201cThe invisible war\u201d<\/a>,\u00a0presented some of the archaeological evidence that allows us to reconstruct a conflict that two thousand years ago shook the peninsular northwest, transforming the landscape and planting the seed of the world in which we live.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_790\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-790\" style=\"width: 628px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/romanarmy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28394640536_4962e24937_o.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-790 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/romanarmy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28394640536_4962e24937_o-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"28394640536_4962e24937_o\" width=\"628\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"http:\/\/romanarmy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28394640536_4962e24937_o-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/romanarmy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28394640536_4962e24937_o-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/romanarmy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28394640536_4962e24937_o.jpg 1732w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-790\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo Courtesy of TEDxGalicia (CC BY-NC-ND 2.0)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;Acculturation&#8221;, &#8220;colonialism&#8221;, &#8220;asymmetric conflict&#8221; are concepts that can be applied to events and processes of the past but &#8230; all of them were born to describe recent events.
